... this hike is accompanied by informational and display boards and leads to five mills that still grind grain into flour during special events. Along the picturesque path, you’ll find another attraction of pale rock – the Terna Earth Pyramids. These impressive formations are a true natural wonder.

Saga hike Devils' Stone

... according to legend, the farmers once angered the devil so much that he wanted to roll a massive stone from the Mutennock down on them. However, the rock was so heavy that even the devil had to take a rest. When dawn unexpectedly broke, he fled to the underworld. Since then, the Sasso del Diavolo or Devil´s Stone has been lying in this spot. The path to it leads you along hiking trail No. 5 towards the Pertinger Alm.

Hike to the Astnerbergalm

... begins in the Val Vena and follows hiking trail No. 23 along the stream, nestled in the picturesque mountain scenery. On the way, you’ll encounter the Terna Bowl Stone, around which witches are said to have danced according to the legend. After about 40 minutes, you’ll reach the Astnerbergalm, inviting you to a cosy stop.

Plan de Corones Kronplatz
  • MTB villages tour

    ... is an easy bike tour in South Tyrol, perfect for a little sightseeing tour to get to know the surroundings better. From Terento, it is an easy ride to Vallarga, Vandoies, San Sigismondo, and back to Terento.
  • Val Pusteria cycle path

    ... offers some 105 kilometres of cycle paths, leading from Rio di Pusteria to Lienz. The tour can also be done in sections – from Rio di Pusteria to Brunico (25.5 km), from Brunico to Dobbiaco (33.5 km), and from San Candido to Lienz (44 km). For the return journey, you can also take the train.
  • Plan de Corones Circuit

    ... leads from Riscone to Maria Saalen, further to Marebbe, and up to the summit of Plan de Corones. What sounds like a walk is, in reality, a challenging tour and not suitable for beginners. A scenic tour that requires a lot of strength and endurance.
